Blood es un shooter de terror en primera persona creado por Monolith Productions y publicado
por GT Interactive en 1997 para MS-DOS. El juego fue diseñado por Nicholas Newhard, que también fue el
programador principal.
"Que comience el baño de sangre..." puede ser la última declaración cuando te despiertes en tu propia
tumba en el primer nivel del juego llamado "De la cuna a la tumba". Tú, Caleb, eres un pistolero anticuado
de principios del siglo XX que busca venganza contra tu antiguo maestro Tchernobog, quien te traicionó en
tu vida pasada. Y no: ese nombre no tiene nada que ver con el condenado Chernóbil. El nombre hace
referencia a una deidad eslava del siglo XII, que puede traducirse como “dios negro”. Si te interesa
profundizar en este tema puedes estudiar la Chronica Slavorum escrita por el sacerdote alemán Helmold von
Bosau en 1168-1169.
