En 1983 la propuesta televisiva de los canales de televisión innovó con una serie experimental que contaba la historia de JONATHAN CHASE,
un profesor universitario inglés que tenía la extraña habilidad de transformarse en cualquier animal; CHASE era un hombre que conocía los
misterios de la vida animal y decía que su don lo había heredado de su padre, con quien conoció los grandes enigmas de la naturaleza.
El pasado del profesor CHASE incluía viajes por AFRICA, EL CONGO, EL AMAZONAS y EL TIBET, donde profundizó sus conocimientos y que su habilidad
de cambiar de forma había aparecido en medio de una situación de peligro durante la guerra de VIETNAM. SIMON MACCORKINDALE
fue el elegido para interpretar al aristocrático, culto y brillante académico que enseñaba comportamiento animal en la UNIVERSIDAD de NUEVA YORK,
y que asesoraba al DEPARTAMENTO DE POLICÍA; lo secundaba en sus aventuras TYRONE C. EARL, alias T, su compañero en VIETNAM,
convertido en ayudante y confidente. Además, la serie presentaba en cada caso a resolver a otras dos personas que integraban el elenco,
la rubia detective BROOKE MCKENZIE y el teniente de policía NICK RIVERA.
