Delta City, considerada "el lugar más seguro de la Tierra", se ha convertido en una ciudad
futurista propiedad de OCP, y RoboCop, Alex Murphy ha empezado a notar la edad. Murphy se encuentra
casi obsoleto, y tiene que aceptar que su hijo ahora adulto, James, es un ejecutivo de OCP,
ignorante de que su padre sigue vivo. El antiguo compañero de Murphy, John Cable, ha vuelto
también a Delta City como el nuevo Jefe de Seguridad. Pero surgen nuevos enemigos, y Murphy y
Cable comienzan a investigar sin saber que se acercan peligrosamente a exponer un malvado grupo
de ejecutivos de OCP conocidos como "El consorcio"... del que forma parte James Murphy.
Desesperados por evitar que sus siniestros planes sean revelados, "El consorcio" programa a
Murphy para matar a John Cable.
