Patience Philips (Halle Berry) trabaja como diseñadora gráfica para una empresa de cosméticos, dirigida
por el despótico George Hedare (Lambert Wilson) y su esposa, la supermodelo Laurel (Sharon Stone). Se entera
por casualidad de un terrible secreto sobre un revolucionario producto de belleza que está a punto de ponerse
a la venta y es eliminada por unos sicarios. Sin embargo, misteriosamente, vuelve a la vida con unas cualidades
y una fuerza extraordinaria. Se convierte entonces en "Catwoman" y prepara su venganza con la ayuda de la
enigmática Ophelia Powers (Frances Conroy). Pero su doble vida complica su relación con el apuesto detective
